Moving Forward in 2024
Dear Brothers,
AHEPA Chapter 383, is one of the oldest chapters in District 3 and is a pivotal Capital District Chapter. Our Chapter has been instrumental, since its inception in 1950 in contributing to numerous activities that defend and promote the AHEPA Mission and the Ideals of Hellenism, our Greek Orthodox Faith and our rich Hellenic Culture and Heritage.
Chapter 383 was instrumental in the founding of the Hellenic Center Organization. Our chapter also has been a major contributor to the DC Metro area AHEPA Scholarship Awards for many years. We have donated to many philanthropic causes, including victims of fires and floods in both the U.S and Greece. We have donated to church organizations, such as the Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Silver Spring, MD, and to several AHEPA National initiatives, such as the St.Nicholas Shrine at Ground Zero, donations to hospitals in Greece, donations towards food and medical equipment to Ukraine victims of war, as well as donated to DC Area local food banks and shelters for the homeless.
Our Chapter has hosted a few District 3 Conventions. We have worked through the years with the Hellenic Center and other Hellenic American organizations and AHEPA leadership to sponsor and attend events of interest to the Hellenic American Community, including commemorating Greek Independence Day, and the contributions of Greek American AHEPAns to the WWII resistance against the Axis.
Please pay your membership dues for 2023, if you have not already done so. As a reminder, the yearly dues are $100. We have also sent letters to a number of you, and dues payment can be sent via us mail to the following address:
